Read a news item on the Guardian about flyover paths being proposed in Uttarakhand for the safety of endangered elephants. The flyover has a shocking length of more than a kilometre and is to be covered in ‘foliage’, of course. Would the elephants, though, not recognize the path not being their natural one? I guess it would be of great interest to observe their interactions with the flyover as they see it getting built.
